Accurate digital property cadastral maps, aptly delineating land parcel ownership, are most required nowadays as well as they have become an important component of a Geographic Information System(GIS). Cadastral mapping/Parcel mapping is mandatory in several states, as an appropriate parcel map is used to assess land values for tax, public works and Homeland security planning purposes.
